The eponymous 2012 Malondro has a little more Garnacha than Cari?ena and similar to the rest of the wines, it fermented in stainless steel at controlled temperatures and aged in barrel for 10 months. It's very savory with smoked bacon aromas, hints of roasted corn and plenty of oak-related aromas. The palate is also dominated by balsamic and oak-related flavors and textures and in a way it seems like the more expensive wine, has to have more oak... 20,000 bottles produced.

The 2011 Malondro blends 60% Garnacha with 40% Carinena aged for 15 months in oak barrels, 40% of which were new. The wine has notes of espresso coffee, dark chocolate and ripe black fruit with some fennel and aniseed aromas, very refreshing in a red. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with good intensity of flavors, an earthy, mineral feeling and good acidity. A powerful, slightly oaky Mediterranean blend. Drink 2014-2018. The 2009 Malondro is the same blend, but from older vines up to 75 years of age and entirely aged in new French oak. The nose is more serious and less defined than the Latria, but it retains the same purity, and eventually lovely raspberry and pomegranate fruit rise to the surface. The palate is medium-bodied with smooth, rounded tannins. It is fresh and bright, handling that new oak with style, while the finish is composed and refined, with bright red berries, pomegranate and minerals. The 2007 Malondro is a single vineyard offering also composed of equal parts Garnacha and Carinena. It displays a bit more finesse and elegance than the Latria as well as greater depth and richness on the palate. This pleasure-bent effort will continue to blossom for another 1-2 years but can be approached now.
