The 2011 Malondro blends 60% Garnacha with 40% Carinena aged for 15 months in oak barrels, 40% of which were new. The wine has notes of espresso coffee, dark chocolate and ripe black fruit with some fennel and aniseed aromas, very refreshing in a red. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with good intensity of flavors, an earthy, mineral feeling and good acidity. A powerful, slightly oaky Mediterranean blend. Drink 2014-2018.
