Last Tasted 3/92 This is clearly the wine of the vintage for the appellation of Chateauneuf du Pape. After several spectacular, much more evolved bottles, my last bottle was a huge, even massive Chateauneuf with a dense color, a big, spicy, earthy, berry-scented nose, and unbelievable body, flavor richness, and extraction. It was much more closed and tannic, giving rise to my belief that this wine could last for another 15-20 years. Anticipated maturity: 1995-2010.
