Blended of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon and 12% Merlot, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is an even more serious yet nonetheless elegant offering. Deep garnet purple colored, it is just starting to evolve on the nose giving a moderate intensity of blackberry, warm plum, spice box, Mediterranean herbs and coffee aromas. Medium bodied with around 13.5% alcohol, it has firm, finely grained tannins with just enough fruit flesh and a very long finish. Drinking from now, it has the capacity to develop further and should cellar through 2018.
Lenton Brae produces a distinctively elegant style of wines that possess very good concentration and persistence with moderate alcohols.
