This wine is made from an indigenous red wine grape called Monica. Fermented in tank and aged in French barrels, this excellent wine boasts a dark ruby/purple color, an evolved, cedary, cherry, fruitcake, and peppery-scented nose, soft, berry-like flavors, a hint of chocolate, and an easy-going, graceful finish. This wine can be drunk now as well as over the next 3-4 years. A Leonardo Lo Cascio Selection, Winebow, Hohokus, NJ; tel. (201) 445-0620
