This is the estate's top-shelf expression. The 2014 Barbaresco Bordini is a subtle and silky expression that ushers forth a pretty stream of authentic Nebbiolo characteristics. You get red currant, dried berry, campfire ash, tar, licorice and subtle whiffs of white truffle. Despite the difficulties associated with this vintage, this Barbaresco delivers an impressive sense of authenticity and energy. The tannins still have a tight grip, so I would recommend another few years of bottle aging.
