The 2011 Reserva has a nose of sweet cherries and baking spices, quite clean and focused. The varietal break up is 75% Tempranillo, 10% Mazuelo, 5% Garnacha and the remaining, famous 'Others'--which is nothing other than Cabernet Sauvignon. It fermented in stainless steel and aged for 20 months in a mixture of French, American and Russian oak barrels. The animal notes from previous vintages have disappeared and the wine feels clean, with a medium-bodied palate displaying fine tannins and a tasty finish with moderate acidity. 138,690 bottles and 7,500 magnums.
