The 2007 Dolcetto di Dogliani San Luigi is a big, rich wine bursting with fruit. Despite its ripe personality, this Dolcetto retains a measure of classicism I find especially attractive. Hints of blueberry jam, licorice, leather and sweet baking spices come to life on the long, focused finish. This is all elegance and class. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2012.
