This wine draws its fruit from younger vines (compared to the Ginestra) aged 25 years and up. As a result, the Paolo Conterno 2017 Barolo Riva del Bric boasts a softer and more accessible style, with lots of bright cherry fruit, cassis, grilled herb and crushed stone. It exhibits a smooth and silky palate, and the tannins are well maintained, caressing and even refreshing your senses. It will be a nice Barolo to open with some mixed trifolati mushrooms when it's ready.
