Produced from one of my favorite St. Aubin vineyards, abutting the northern border of Chassagne-Montrachet Les Chaumees, the St. Aubin Le Charmois is truly excellent and verging on outstanding. It exhibits a creamy, spicy nose and a deep, refined, medium-to-full-bodied, and velvety-textured character packed with anise, malt, stones, and oaky spices. This well-balanced, seductive, and long wine should be at its peak of maturity between 1999 and 2003.
