The 2011’s deep ruby/purple color is accompanied by hints of plum sauce, soy, black currants, black cherries, smoke and new barrique notes. The wine has loads of flavor, a corpulent, fruit-driven style, and lots of potential. It should drink easily for 10-12+ years.
Consultant Dr. Alain Raynaud was joking that since he and his family had sold La Croix de Gay and La Fleur de Gay, he was happy to at least be a consultant for Vray Croix de Gay, a neighboring estate with a similar name.
