Another classically styled vintage here, the 2006 C?te R?tie Les Grandes Places offers notes of coffee bean, chocolate, currants and spice-box to go with a medium-bodied, seamless, elegant feel on the palate. Despite the modern aromatic profile, it’s nicely focused and lightly textured on the palate, with high-quality tannin and solid length. It’s drinking nicely now, and I see no reason to hold off. It should continue to drink nicely through 2021.
