From a vintage that saw hail damage in June, which cut production to just two barrels, the 1999 C?te R?tie Les Grandes Places offers subtle, spice-infused notes of licorice, chocolate and mature dark fruits on the nose. This is followed by a medium-bodied, mature C?te R?tie that shows its oak upbringing, yet stays balanced, layered and thoroughly enjoyable. It’s best drunk over the coming couple of years.
