Cavallotto's 2009 Barolo Riserva Vignolo delivers less floral definition compared to the Riserva Bricco Boschis Vigna San Giuseppe. This a slightly more austere and masculine expression with broader brush strokes of dark fruit, spice and grilled herb. Barolo Riserva Vignolo's structure is important and compelling. The wine definitely promises a long aging trajectory of 15 years or more.
