This might be my favorite of these new single-vineyard releases from Damilano's 2014 portfolio. Balanced and bright, with a clean and accessible quality of berry fruit, the 2014 Barolo Cerequio is compact at its core, with verve. This wine promises to deliver an articulate and interesting evolution over time. Production was capped at 2,700 bottles.

This elegant red reveals licorice-tinged cherry and plum flavors, stitched together by a lively structure.
