The 2004 Perlato del Bosco, a blend of 70% Sangiovese and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, is a gorgeous wine, with expressive aromatics and plenty of vibrant sweet dark fruit supported by a lively sense of minerality. Richly structured on the palate, it offers much length but it will require another year or two in the bottle to show the full breadth of its expressiveness.
