This outstanding Tuscan estate has a new offering in 1997 called Perlato del Bosco. Made from 100% Sangiovese, this evolved wine exhibits a medium ruby color, as well as a moderately intense nose of cedar, soy sauce, and strawberry fruit. Although fragrant, it does not finish in the mouth as impressively as the aromatics suggest. It is a solidly made, straightforward Sangiovese to consume over the next 2-3 years.
