The spicy, ripe, mineral and curranty bouquet is followed by a wine with medium body and good grip. Approachable now, and evolving more rapidly than I would have thought possible several years ago, this elegantly wrought wine remains bargain priced for the vintage. Anticipated maturity: Now-2005. Firm in structure, silky in texture, generous in flavor, leaning a bit towa rd the cedary vanilla character of wood aging, but enough plum and cassis comes through on the finish. Best after 1992.
