The 1996 Greco di Tufo is tank-fermented and bottled early. The wine reveals crisp, almond/apple-like flavors, tart acidity, dry, fleshy fruit, and a light-bodied, elegant finish. Drink it over the next year. The white wines from this estate in the Campania region have received unofficial consulting advice from Zind-Humbrecht. Whether it is because of that, or just due to the increased attention to detail, the whites have improved over recent years.
