The nose offers ink and chocolate and, with some aeration, caramel. Though the cherry, raspberry and plum fruit is pretty nice on its own, it’s the mouthfeel that makes it stand out—it has powdery tannins, plus good weight and grip in the midpalate. Cabernet Sauvignon (65%) provides a sturdy backbone; Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cab Franc make up the balance.——D.T.
