Revealing a medium-ruby color, the Beaune Clos Du Roi has a red currant, raspberry, and flower blossom-infused nose. This wine is medium-to-full-bodied, thick, beautifully ripe, and filled with loads of sweet red and black cherries. It is supple, seductive, and a delight to drink now. I suggest consuming it before 2002. The score, on a range and in parentheses, indicates that the wine was tasted from barrel.
