The 1992 Cabernet Sauvignon Fay Vineyard is outstanding. It possesses a sweet, alluring bouquet, a deep, saturated color, and a seductive fragrance matched by flattering, rich, opulent flavors that cascade over the palate. The acidity is sound. The wine exhibits wonderful concentration, as well as loads of rich fruit. Approachable now, it should last for 10-15 years after its release in 1995. This winery enjoys a much deserved fine reputation for its bevy of complex, elegant, authoritatively flavorful red wines, particularly the Fay Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon and the Cask 23 Proprietary Red Wine, the latter one of California's benchmark wines.
