Jean-Paul Versino’s 2013 Chateauneuf du Pape is a little rough around the edges at the moment, but it should come together once bottled. Showing the classic, traditional style of this estate, it has plenty of pepper, game, olive tapenade and garrigue in its medium-bodied, fresh and focused personality. It’s not the best wine from this estate, but it does a lot right and should provide solid pleasure over the coming 4-6 years.
