Michele Manelli of Salcheto is a man with a vision. His sustainable approach has become its own school within this Tuscan appellation. The 2011 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Salco is a very well made wine that is soft, rich and divine. This wine opens to an inky dark and impenetrable color. It sits heavy on the palate with firm density and thick waves of ripe fruit. Salcheto advocates one of the latest harvests in the appellation.

A mix of elegance and power, this red exudes flavors of cherry, leather, wild herbs and tar, with underlying iron and saline elements.
