Fermented with natural yeast and aged (11 months) in French oak barriques, 25% new, the 2009 Chardonnay Reserve gives aromas of white peaches, spiced apple slices and green guava over meal, toasted almonds and a whiff of yeast extract. Medium bodied with a slightly satiny texture, it has very lively acidity and concentrated toast and apple flavors, finishing long. Approachable now, it should cellar to 2016+.
