Val di Suga usually produces a three-part series of single-vineyard wines (Vigna Spuntali, Poggio al Granchio and Vigna del Lago), but these wines were not produced in this challenging vintage. Instead, the estate's best fruit was directed to the 2017 Brunello di Montalcino. This is a balanced expression, with blue and purple fruits, cola, earth and dried flowers spread over a lean, compact finish. This production of 50,000 bottles is hitting the market now.
