Val di Suga is a winery with a proven track record for consistency. The 2011 Brunello di Montalcino opens to generous aromas of dried cherry, wild berry, black currant, leather, cola and balsamic herb. The mouthfeel in this vintage is slightly thinner compared to past editions. Neither does it last as long in terms of persistence. But the fullness and overt intensity of the bouquet does a good job of compensating for this. I would suggest drinking this wine within the next ten years.
