The estate’s 2004 Poggio Valente is made in an extroverted, super-ripe style. It is a full-bodied wine endowed with masses of dark fruit, leather, spices and tobacco that flow onto the palate with superb richness. The tannins are firm, but they are very well woven into the wine’s fabric. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2016.
