The 2008 Barbaresco Rio Sordo is a bit more forward than the Tre Stelle. It is a precise, delicate wine laced with sweet red cherries, leather, menthol and licorice, all of which come together nicely on a medium-bodied, perfumed frame. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2016.
