The 1999 Crozes-Hermitage Les Pierrelles (10% new oak is utilized) is a sumptuous, fleshy, dense ruby/purple-colored effort bursting with Syrah fruit. With medium body, loads of glycerin, low acidity, and copious sweetness as well as character, this fruit bomb will drink well for 8-10 years.
This is the strongest line-up from Domaine Albert Belle that I have tasted. Given the price, it represents a super bargain.
