The 1996 Crozes-Hermitage Les Pierrelles (it spent 12 months in barrique before bottling) is a supple, well-made, medium-bodied, lightweight example with herbaceous, tomato skin-scented aromas, green pepper, cherry-like flavors, and a clean, supple finish. I would have scored it higher had it not been for the vegetal characteristics. Importer: Robert Kacher Selections, Washington, DC; tel. (202) 832-9083
