The 1990 Les Pierrelles exhibited superb black/ruby color, a sweet, fragrant, undeveloped bouquet that exhibited tremendous intensity of black fruits, herbs, and spices. In the mouth the wine was rich, forward, impressively deep, expansive, and long. The acidity was sound, the tannin levels high but round, and the finish impressive. This beauty should be at its best between now and 2000. Last tasted 11/95.
