The 1995s do not exhibit the degree of herbaceousness of the 1994s. They possess sweeter fruit and better acidity, as well as more backward, structured personalities. The easiest to appreciate and most flattering to drink is the 1995 Les Pierrelles. A dark ruby-colored wine with purple nuances, it displays copious amounts of ripe, jammy, black-cherry and cassis fruit, medium body, some tannin, crisp acidity, and a ripe finish. It should drink well for 7-8 years. Last tasted 6/96.
