My favorite of the three wines reviewed here was the 2005 Saint Joseph Terres d’Arce. Coming from the cool, granite soils of the Sainte Epine lieu-dit located just outside the village of Saint Jean de Muzols, it’s a beautiful, classy, ripe and medium to full-bodied effort that offers mature notes of graphite, smoked dark fruits, charcuterie and spice-box. Gaining more and more texture with time in the glass, drink this hedonistic beauty anytime over the coming 5-7 years.
