A blend of Merlot, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and a smaller (but quite noticeable) amount of Petit Verdot, Bilton Estate’s 2005 Matt Black displays lightly cooked blackberry and blueberry aromas with a correspondingly ripe and intensely fruity palate, tinged with mint, tobacco and black pepper.
