There are more aromas from the élevage in the 2016 La Basseta, a modern red blend of Garnacha with 10% Syrah from a vineyard that names the wine. Planted in 2000, the vineyard has always been farmed organically, and they used two-thirds of full clusters for the fermentation in concrete vats with selected yeasts. The élevage lasted some 16 months and was in used barriques for Garnacha and new ones for Syrah. It's spicy and smoky, with some creaminess, abundant and dusty tannins and a dry finish. 6,793 bottles were filled in March 2019.
