Produced from fruit hailing from the Figgins’s Mill Creek Upland Vineyard as well as the Seven Hills and Pepper Bridge Vineyards, the 2003 Sangiovese explodes from the glass with fantastic aromas of spicy black fruits, licorice, and tar. Broad, intense, and concentrated, this medium to full-bodied wine is layered with luxurious waves of black cherries. Pure, well-balanced, and long, it is the finest American Sangiovese I have tasted to date. Drink it over the next 5 years.
