The 2000 Chianti Rufina Riserva Bucerchiale, made from the estate’s best Sangiovese vineyard, is large-framed, with expansive and penetrating varietal aromas which privilege the warm alcohol and the floral notes of the variety. Concentrated and substantial, with the tonic acidity which characterizes the wines of the zone, it will need some time to shed some of its tannic muscularity. Drink: 2006-2012.
