The exceptional 1999 Chianti Rufina Riserva Bucerchiale is a 100% Sangiovese cuvee aged 15 months primarily in barriques. It boasts a deep plum/ruby color in addition to high acidity and equally high flavor extraction presented in a structured, dense, formidable style. Somewhat backward, it reveals notes of new saddle leather, spice box, licorice, and black cherry/currant fruit.
