The first vintage for the estate and made from 75% Grenache and the rest Mourvedre and Syrah, with the Grenache raised all in concrete and the Syrah/Mourvedre in barrel, the 1999 Chateauneuf du Pape has lots of olive tapenade, gamy meats, truffle, garrigue and sweet fruit to go with a fully mature, supple, nicely textured style on the palate. It's best consumed over the coming year or two.

The medium-bodied, pretty, soft 1999 Chateauneuf du Pape offers notes of cherries and currants along with good spice and purity. It is a blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, and 10% Mourvedre.
