2019 was warm and dry, and the wines are powerful and quite tannic, as I see in the 2019 Los Cantos de Torremilanos, which coupled with a longer élevage (15 months in barrel) resulted in a tougher wine. It has concentration from low yields and keeps the freshness but with a dry finish and not enough fat. This is 100% Tempranillo; it was not a year for Merlot, which in other vintages represents a small percentage of this wine.
