The estate’s 2006 Chianti Rufina Riserva offers up pretty red fruits intermingled with sweet scents of toasted oak, licorice, tar and minerals, all of which come together with unusual depth and harmony. This medium-bodied Chianti is delicious, but I slightly preferred the simpler and more unfussy 2007 non-Riserva. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2012.
