Contratto’s 2004 Barolo Cerequio is a medium-bodied offering redolent of perfumed, ripe fruit and sweet toasted oak. The wine possesses excellent density and firmness, yet well-integrated tannins. Delicate, floral, sweet fruit. Moreish, long, seemingly absent structure, though it is all there. Wonderful stuff. Long.
