The 2006 Barolo Arborina offers up wild cherries galore, followed by sweet floral, spices aromas and flavors that add complexity. The wine reveals plenty of length although the intensity and plumpness of the fruit trails off just a touch as the finish becomes a bit slender. This looks to be the most forward of Corino’s 2006 Barolos. Giuliano Corino’s holdings in Arborina are in the southeast portion of that vineyard, and in 2006 he was spared the hail damage that affected his neighbors. Anticipated maturity. 2014-2024.
This is a wonderful set of new releases from proprietor Giuliano Corino, one of La Morra’s finest growers.
