Revealing toasted almonds and white flower aromatics, the Meursault Les Corbins is a seductive, dense, silky and medium-bodied wine. While not particularly complex, this truly delicious wine's supple candied almond, mineral, earth, buttered toast, and lemon zest-like flavors are enthralling. With time it may merit a higher score. Projected maturity: 1999-2004. Vincent Bitouzet has produced wonderful 1996s. Whereas his white 1995s were luscious and opulent (ideal for near-term drinking), Bitouzet crafted refined and elegant '96s built for the long-haul.
