Vinified in 50% wood and the balance in enamel tanks, the Chassagne Montrachet Clos St. Jean has a good minerally sweetness and nice floral qualities to its nose. In the mouth, there are appealing red berry and toasty fruits as well as a liquid stone-like component, fine structure, and balance. Medium-bodied, this wine should be consumed between 1999-2005. This note is the result of tastings I did in Burgundy between January 7 and January 29.
