Toast, minerals, pears, and hints of citrus fruits make up the aromatic profile of the 2003 Chassagne-Montrachet La Romanee (white). This excellent, refined wine is one of the two whites Dancer acidified (the other is the village Chassagne). It reveals lovely depth of fruit, a medium-bodied personality, and a silky, well-fashioned character filled with pears, minerals, and spices whose effects linger in its long finish. Projected maturity: now-2010.
