In only his second vintage as a winemaker and estate owner, the young Vincent Dancer fashioned an outstanding 1997 Chassagne-Montrachet La Romanee. Its refined, sweet pear and floral aromas lead to an expressive, medium to full-bodied character. This rich, creamy wine is packed with loads of white fruits and spices that last throughout its admirably long finish. Readers should note that Dancer owns one acre of this first-rate premier cru.
