The 2006 Barbaresco Valgrande offers up floral red fruit on a mid-weight frame. The Valgrande offers good depth but not quite enough depth to balance the firm tannins. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2016. Proprietor Giulio Grasso makes his Barbarescos in a plump, juicy fruit-driven style.
