Tasted single blind against its peers. This has an attractive, floral bouquet with scents of melted butter, freshly shaved almond and a touch of dried orange peel. There is a touch of VA in the background evidenced on both bottles. The palate is well-balanced with a crisp entry and notes of white peach, apricot and spice, whilst the finish is crisp, with lemon and almond lingering on the aftertaste. I uphold that the 2008 is sandwiched between two superior vintages. Tasted January 2012.
